Fall Bucket List
I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers – L.M Montgomery
My family really enjoys this season – Fall & Autumn. The crisp air, nature showing off it’s beautiful colors, harvesting the bounty, the fashion, and pumpkin spice everything!
Each season we plan out a bucket list, of all the things we love to do.
We have many traditions in our family each season, Fall probably has the most. We take it all in! From indulging in seasonal foods to dressing up for trick or treating.
What’s your favorite thing to do during the Fall/Autumn?

Fall Bucket List

Make Falls Drinks
One thing I can’t get enough of during Autumn is the fall inspired drinks. I can’t get enough of pumpkin flavors, ciders, chai, and hot cocoa.

Go Trick or Treating
It’s a tradition to go trick or treating at the nearby neighborhood. It’s so fun walking around, eating candy, and seeing all the happy kids. We’re in the Pacific Northwest, and there’s a huge chance we’ll be walking around in the rain, so rainboots and raincoats are strongly suggested.

Go Mushroom Hunting
We live in a GREAT area for mushrooming hunting. Can’t wait to go look for mushrooms when the rain starts picking up again. Even if I don’t pick to eat/use the mushroom, I love seeing them out in nature.
This is a great guide book to mushroom hunting!

Visit a Pumpkin Patch & Carve Pumpkins
Of course my kid’s favorite thing to do has always been visiting the local pumpkin patch. Nothing better then an afternoon of fall activities, and treats.
If you’re local to me, we’ve got a ton of pumpkin patches and fall events happening every year. Each year I put together(& continue adding to it all season) a list of local Pumpkin Patches & Fall Fun – for the South Puget Sound Area click here, and for the Kitsap County Area click here.
Harvest Apples & Veggies
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is harvest the fruits of my labor. I love harvesting all the things we’ve grown; squash, sunflowers, and apples are just a few.

Burn Fall Scents
I love burning candles in the fall, it just sets a cozy vibe and makes the house smell amazing!
These candles are all the craze right now!

Read
Can’t wait to pick up a good book or two this season. I’ll be working on a fall inspired book list soon, and I’ll be sure to share it.
STAY TUNED FOR BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS!

Bake Fall Treats
It’s the beginning of baking season, so of course we’ll be making so many delicious “fall” treats. The kitchen is very busy! We always make tons of cookies, pies, cinnamon rolls, and breads. And it’s soup & slow cooker season!! Here’s a FEW of our fav sweet recipes;

Go Hiking
Of course we must go on a couple hikes to view the beautiful fall foliage, and enjoy the cool crisp air!
Looking for a fun easy fall hike in Kitsap County? Two of our favorites are; Anderson Point Park, and Dickerson Creek Waterfall.

Make Fall Crafts
We also love to do some autumn inspired arts & crafts. Got something fun for us to try, leave me a comment or link to it. I’d love to start adding more “natural” holiday decorations to the house.

Festivals
It wouldn’t be a typical fall/autumn for us, if we didn’t go to at least one festival. We love attending the Greek Festival, any of the school events, and local Harvest/Halloween events.

Fall Garden
I love gardening so much, and look forward to all the cool season crops. We live in a great growing zone, and can have something growing all year. Normally in my fall garden you can find; lettuce, spinach, kale, beets, kholrabi, radish, sugar snap peas, and so much more! Towards the end of fall I get garlic planted.

Watch Fall/Halloween Movies
We watch all our favorite Fall/Halloween movies all month long. What’s your fav movie of the season? We love Hocus Pocus, Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas & the Harry Potter movies. And of course it’s Gilmore Girls season!!

Have Bonfires & Eat S’mores
We’ll also be enjoying a few bonfires now that there’s no burn ban, we have a lot of yard waste to burn, and a lot of ‘smores to be eaten!
