HOMEMADE MAC & CHEESE
This is a great dish, that is family-friendly, and perfect for bringing to a potluck.
We eat this macaroni and cheese a couple times a month, and it never gets old. It’s so rich and creamy! I try to make double, so we can eat leftovers the next day.
My daughter was so funny the last time I made it though. She told me it looked like slop, but after she tried the first bite. She goes, “This is sooo good, can I have seconds?”
I’ll let you in on a little secret, the key to making the best macaroni and cheese. Gruyere Cheese! Seriously, gruyere cheese will make any mac n’ cheese THE BEST!
This recipe works great for a dutch oven, as less dishes to wash. If you don’t own a dutch oven, then a baking dish works just as well. We’ve done both ways many times.
We’ve been using this dutch oven 3-4 times a week for the past 3 years, and it’s still working great!
