Best Homemade Macaroni & Cheese

This Homemade Mac & Cheese recipe is rich, creamy and full of flavor. It's also very easy to make, so skip that box of mac n' cheese, and give your taste buds something better. Don't forget that special ingredient!

Ingredients

  • 16 oz pasta elbow, shell, or similar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups gruyere cheese shredded, 6 oz
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package, until al dente.
  • Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°, and get all your cheeses shredded, if they aren't already. If you aren't using a dutch oven, get a 8x12 inch baking pan ready.
  • Carefully mix all your ingredients together in dutch oven, or baking dish.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and starting to brown. Let rest for 5 minutes until serving, enjoy!

Notes

This recipe works great for a dutch oven, as less dishes to wash. If you don’t own a dutch oven, then a baking dish works just as well. We’ve done both ways many times.
