Update: I’m sorry to report this place has been closed. Check out Honey’s Healthy Hive in University Place for another local honey place.

I love finding new to me local places to visit, to try, to support. Especially when it has to do with food ;) I wouldn’t necessarily consider myself a health conscious nut but I do have my moments and feelings on certain things. HONEY for example, I only buy and consume local raw honey! Local raw honey is great for the immune system especially if you have allergies! With many other benefits!

Timmons Honey sells natural flavors such blackberry, fireweed, cranberry, alfalfa, wild flower, buckwheat, sweet clover, thistle, raspberry and pumpkin in season. I’ve tried the blackberry, cranberry and pumpkin – amazing!! Ever wonder how the honey becomes a flavor? The hives are set in a field of the flavor and the bees go to town on the plant blossoms! – Yeah, I didn’t know that either ;) Timmons Honey House has some amazing prices; 1 lb Jar $6, 3 lb Jar $15, 6 lb Jar $26 Available for wholesale price too! They have amazing knowledgeable people who run the honey house, are very nice and friendly. Can also support and buy Timmons Honey at local farmers markets and now at Harbor Greens! So, go get some tasty local raw honey today and enjoy!!

Raw honey has many uses; a snack, smoothies, substituting in baking recipes, meat marinade, Asian recipes, tons of other foods, cold remedies, facial masks, and so much more!! We’ve consumed our honey daily; in our smoothies, substituted for sugar in cookies, on toast and STILL love it!

I wasn’t compensated in anyway, I did receive honey to review. However all opinions expressed here are my own.

I love local honey! It has made such an incredible difference in my allergies and is great in my coffee each morning :).

Brittany, I think I need to start getting local honey for my entire family. We are dealing with so many allergy issues (non-food related). How much of a difference is there for you with and without the local honey on a regular basis? ~Adrienne (P.S. Timmons is probably 20 minutes or less from my house!)

Me too, local honey is the best! I make my son take it daily during allergy season as well. There are so many ways to use honey! I honestly haven’t tried it in coffee though, I’ll have to!

Tabitha, I love finding out about local honey in the PNW! Just the other day, a fellow blogger tweeted about not being able to find local honey. Now I can point her to Timmons. Thanks so much! ~Adrienne
