Pottery Studios in Pierce County
Over the weekend, I celebrated my friend of 23 years birthday with a ladies night out at a local pottery studio. It was something new to me, I had never been to a clay studio and it was so much fun I will be back. Visiting a pottery studio is fun for all, even children will have a great time creating art pieces that they can cherish a long time. Go for a date night, ladies night out, a birthday, something fun to do just to get out of the rain. To paint your own pottery you just simply go in during opening hours, pick out a piece to paint some as low as $10, they do the glaze and fire then you pick up within a couple days! They have pieces ranging from mugs, jewelry boxes to Marvel piggie banks. Most of all, have fun and don’t be afraid if “art” isn’t your thing – they even have idea books, stamps and stencils! You don’t need a creativity bone to have fun!! » Couple tips for bringing a child, I don’t suggest this for kids under 3 as there are a lot of glass laying around and keep in mind while choosing your piece, it does take some time – the mug I painted took me a good 2 1/2 hours.
