Hyper kid? Alternative to medications
Mason has always been pretty hyper, loads of energy, wild child or spirited child, whatever you’d like to call it. Sometimes wonder if he has ADHD or if he’s just a typical active boy :) Last spring we began the search for some natural supplements to calm him a little, without going the route of prescription medications – if needed. So, began the research of what vitamins and supplements, what to cut in diet and so on. Fish oil, zinc and magnesium are all designed to stimulate the brain’s power to focus and manage executive functions. I went in search for the perfect vitamin supplement for a child and I happened upon this one at my local grocery store. It had everything we needed, it was perfect!! Mason has been taking it for 4 months now and we can definitely see a difference, we once forgot to take it with us on a 3 day trip and boy could you tell. It has helped with his energy level(no it doesn’t make him a zombie), but the biggest difference I’ve noticed in him is his blow ups don’t happen as often and aren’t as huge as they used to be.
Here are a few tips that we have learned along the way. I really hope you check out this product for your children(they even have it for adults as well), I HIGHLY suggest this vitamin and can’t believe we didn’t find it sooner!!
It has a thick texture and a lot of kids don’t like the taste of it but don’t give up. Mix it with something. Mason loves it mixed with apple juice!
When storing it in the fridge, place it upside down. No matter how hard you shake it the vitamin’s like to settle at the bottom, placing it upside down fixes that issue.
Your child needs to take it everyday for at least 2-3 weeks to see results. Don’t give up. If they really don’t like the taste hide it (smoothies, juice); you will love the results when they come.
It might be on the pricey side, $30 at Fred Meyers but I’ve found it on Amazon for $20 and once you start seeing results it will be worth it and keep in mind it has all the other essential vitamins so no need to buy and take any others.
