DIY Coconut, Mint & Lime Sugar Scrub
DIY Coconut, Mint & Lime Sugar Scrub
When you picture a beautiful sandy beach, the scents of mint, lime and coconut may come to mind. Everyone deserves to be able to experience that, even if you can’t physically be sitting on that beach. Self-care is so important for our health and wellness, and a sugar scrub is a great way to add to your shower routine.
This DIY Coconut, Mint & Lime Sugar Scrub is perfect to make for yourself or as a gift, with only four ingredients and takes less than five minutes to make. I love scrubbing my body and face with this mixture every two-three days, it makes your skin soft and smell amazing!
Sunday’s are my self-care day and I love sugar scrubs, but I absolutely hated how many ingredients were listed in the store bought scrubs(I can’t even pronounce some of them!!). Not to mention, I’ve got sensitive skin and allergic to lavender so I decided to try making my own. I couldn’t believe how simple it was, cheap and could find all the ingredients in my kitchen.
What you’ll need?
8 oz jar or water proof container
Bowl and Mixer
Zester
Ingredients
1/4 cup Coconut Oil
1 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Peppermint Essential Oil
Zest from 1 Lime
Directions
- In a small bowl, mix coconut oil for about 1-2 minutes or until no more chunks
- Add your sugar, essential oil and zest and mix for another 1-2 minutes, until it’s all mixed
- Add mixture into a jar and it’s ready to be used.
Use this sugar scrub at the sink on your hands, in the shower on your body and face, after a foot soak – where ever you’d like. Hope you enjoy it as much I do!
Pin it for later!
Looks so wonderful. I would use this to exfoliate my skin.
