The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
The traditional Chocolate Chip Cookie is a favorite for lots of people; it’s sweet, buttery, and a little salty. Can never go wrong with them! I’ll fill you in on a little secret, you can do one simple little tweak or shall I say add on and you’ve got the best Chocolate Chip Cookie on the block!
OATMEAL! You can literally follow the recipe on the package of chocolate chip cookies and then at the end you add oatmeal. They aren’t necessarily “Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies” as there really isn’t much oatmeal flavor. Once you try making your cookies this way, I’m sure you’ll never forget to add that oatmeal.
Now to get started on making the best chocolate chip cookies you’ve ever made. Get all your ingredients together, a large bowl, kitchen mixer and baking sheets. Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl beat your sugars, vanilla and room temperature butter until smooth. Then add your eggs, salt, baking soda and beat until smooth.

Gradually beat in flour. Stir in your chocolate chips and then your oatmeal. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in a preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool completely and ENJOY!!

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
