If you are local to the Pierce County area, we have many locations for birthday parties, both outdoor and indoor. There’s places for all ages and a few for the younger children only.

Birthday’s are so magical for children, and they only have so many magical ones. I love planning my children’s birthday parties, because it’s a time they get to shine and everyone can have fun! We do a friends party every other year, we usually have it at a location because it’s a little less stressful.

BIRTHDAY PARTY LOCATIONS FOR KIDS & TEENS

If you are planning a birthday party and need an idea, I’ve compiled a list of locations with links for more information and for booking. They are organized by cities/towns.

*Perfect for little ones under 5

 

UNIVERSITY PLACE/LAKEWOOD/FIRCREST:

•*Odyssey 1 – for any age! This is a popular birthday location; with an arcade, jungle gym and laser tag. Pizza taste good, and you have the option of purchasing more food/drinks.

•*The Pod Works – offer two unique locations with self-serve, outdoor, indoor and all-inclusive options ranging from $50/hr to $800 for all the bells and whistles. Even offer “come to you” packages for off-site festivities. A University Place and Tacoma Location.

•*Curtis High Pool– Rent the pool and party room out.

•Art Studio 27 – $275 for 10 kids, $25 each additional. Able to bring in own food and drinks, each child gets to take home their own painting.

•*Round Table Pizza – rent the party room for free but need to purchase pizzas, most have arcade areas that are always a hit with kids.

•Pierce County Science Dome – Do you have a fan of science and space? You can rent the planetarium out for a private show $150 only downside is no party room for cake, ect.

•*Fircrest Aquatic Center and/or Community Center – Fircrest’s pool and community center, including a gym are available to rent.

•*Catapult Adventure Park – Located in Lakewood. Whether you’re looking for a killer work-out, team building activities, or a variety of competitive games, we’ve got you covered! With activities ranging from beginner to advanced levels, our 18 attractions provide something for everyone. Party packages start at $250

TACOMA:

•*Sky Zone – Extreme Air Sports, aka trampoline park. Just opened in 2019, all ages will love this place. Party Packages start at $290 and go up. Although we have yet to check this place out I’m sure it’s awesome, as we love trampoline parks!

•*Eastside Community Pool – indoor pool with a party room available for rental, starting at $75, Toddler Spray Zone, Small Shallow End, Vortex, Large Shallow End, Zip Line, Climbing Wall, Drop-Slide and Diving Board.
Eastside Community Center also has a gym, kitchen and rooms to rent as well.

•*Center at Norpoint Rental Rooms– Starting at $60 the Center at Norpoint has a gym, social halls and rooms to rent. You could do one of the open swim sessions at the Center at Norpoint pool, check out their schedule online.

•*People’s Community Center – Starting at $60 the People’s Community Center has a gym, social halls and rooms to rent. You could do one of the open swim sessions at the People’s Community Center pool, check out their schedule online.

•Tower Lanes – we’ve bowled and played mini golf here but have never attended a party here! They have a small arcade area with pool tables. But you do have the option to do a bowling party $15.00 per child OR a mini golf party $15.00 per child

•*Pt. Defiance Zoo – if you have an animal lover this location is perfect!

•*Tacoma Children’s Museum – this place is a lot of fun, great place for kids 10 and under! Packages start at $350!

•*Chuck E Cheese – if your child loves the arcade this is a good location for a party! They have three different party options; $13.99, $18.99, and $23.99 per child.

•*Tacoma Nature Center – Different party package options, starting at $75

•*STAR Center – this place is so much fun! The indoor/outdoor play area is perfect for littles under 5 and the older kids love the outdoor play area. Package prices range from $120- 240

•*Stewart Heights Pool – It looks like they no longer book parties, but you could always reserve the picnic shelter at the park, and then pay for swimmers admission. *Maximum of 25 per group. 72 hour notice required for groups of 20-25.

•*Kandle Pool – It looks like they no longer book parties, but you could always have your party at the tables in the park, and then pay for swimmers admission. *Maximum of 25 per group. 72 hour notice required for groups of 20-25.

•Tea Party at Olive Branch Cafe – maybe your little one wants to have a tea party for their birthday? This location’s got a cute room for a child’s birthday.

•Tinkertopia – If you’ve never been to Tinkertopia it’s a great little workshop and store that is perfect for creativity and imagination. They have a limit of 10 bodies at a time, and no food!

•Blue Mouse Theatre – bring in your own movie, bring in your own food and drinks or purchase a soda and popcorn for a small fee. $350 for 2 hour rental and $100 for an additional hour.

•*Tacoma Arts Community Center – Although this place is just an open space to rent with a tv, kitchenette, tables, chairs, private bathroom. It’s a great place to have your own theme, whether you’re doing a circus, fairy, dance party, ect. Very reasonably priced.

•*Round Table Pizza (Hosmer St. and Pearl St. Locations) – rent the party room for free but need to purchase pizzas, most have arcade areas that are always a hit with kids.
Keep in mind during this phase you can only have 6 people at a table.

•Tacoma Airsoft Center – located at 3099 Sawyer, indoor airsoft field, two party packages starting at $350

•*AGA Gymnastics – AGA Northwest provides the perfect party to bounce on the trampoline, jump and swing, balance on beams, and make their way through obstacle courses. This is a perfect place for the experienced gymnast and those new to gymnastics. AGA hosts super fun parties for children ages 4 and older. Unfortunately, children under 4 years old can not attend. The length of our party is based on the birthday child’s age.

•*Sound Movement Arts Center – Have a blast at Sound Movement Arts Center with our birthday parties!
Option A: A SMAC dance instructor will teach a 30-60 minute dance class (based on the age of your Birthday Kiddo) in the style of your choice: Acro, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap or Twinkle Tots followed by a short in-studio demonstration/performance for parents, featuring the Birthday Kid!
Option B: Mario Lorenz, the Laff Master will entertain kids and adults alike with card tricks, music, magic and juggling for 45 minutes. Then, he will create balloon animals for the kids.

•*Natural Venom Allstar – Want to host an amazing birthday party for your child? We like to consider ourselves “The Party Experts!” We provide private rental options. Our staff is here to help! We will assist with all set up and clean up to make your party a piece of cake!

PUYALLUP/SPANAWAY/GRAHAM:

•King Family Fun Center – Outdoor mini golf is open but the skating, arcade and cafe are permanently closed.

•Sprinker Ice Skating – got a fan of ice skating? We have a rink in Spanaway and has birthday party packages $170 and $200

•*Wiggle Works – perfect for young children, 48″ and under! Prices range from $129-350

•*The Little Gym – for ages 1-12 $300

•Mike & Terry’s Outdoor Fun Park – in Puyallup, they have mini golf, go-karting, batting cages and paintball.

•*Old McDebbies Farm & Jim’s U Fish – visit their site for more information. This is such an awesome place to visit/play.

•*A Simple Wish – Do you have a princess at home? This place is perfect for your little ones if they love to dress up, dance, have a tea party and love to be girly. A few different party packages to choose from, they supply all the dress up clothes and tea party. You even have the option to invite a “princess” from the store for an additional cost.

•*Round Table Pizza – rent the party room for free but need to purchase pizzas, most have arcade areas that are always a hit with kids.
Keep in mind during this phase you can only have 6 people at a table.

•*Super Jump Party Zone – located in South Hill Mall, bounce houses and party room. Pricing starts at $149

•Operation Paintball – located in Graham, games are played in a park like atmosphere on theme courses ranging from jungles with tree forts to an urban field with automobiles and a two-story house. 3 different private packages to choose from.

•Catapult Adventure Park – Puyallup. Whether you’re looking for a killer work-out, team building activities, or a variety of competitive games, we’ve got you covered! With activities ranging from beginner to advanced levels, our 18 attractions provide something for everyone. Party packages start at $325

SUMNER/BONNEY LAKE/AUBURN:

•Sumner Ninja – does your child love ninja warrior or obstacle courses? Sumner Ninja is the perfect birthday location, prices start at $255

•Secret Garden Tea Room – located in Sumner, maybe your little one wants to have a tea party for their birthday? Max of 6 people.

•*Super Jump Party Zone – located in Auburn, bounce houses, air hockey and foosball tables, also a party room. Pricing starts at $249

•Dave & Busters – located in Auburn, huge arcade area and food. Pricing starts at $34.99 per person.

•*Kidz Happy Hour – indoor playground located in Bonney Lake. Pricing starts at $149, for up to 13 kids includes drinks and soda, go to the site for more info.

•KC Crusaders Paintball – located in South Prairie, birthday party package $375 for 10-15 players, includes a covered picnic area, can bring in own food and more. *We had my son’s 13th birthday this past spring here and everyone had such a great time. Staff were wonderful too.

•Gotcha Arena – Brand new place located in Auburn Outlet Mall! “With are massive arenas and huge selection of Nerf blasters we are the place to be for interactive fun! All the excitement of a Nerf battle with none of the dart clean up (and no broken lamps!)”

 

GIG HARBOR:

•Java & Clay – Party room up to 20 people, you can bring in your own food, cake and decorations.

•*Ocean5 – bowling, laser tag, arcade and restaurant! Choose from many different party packages, parties for young children all the way to grown up packages.

•AR Workshop – A fun art and crafts workshop, contact them for more party information.

•*Round Table Pizza – rent the party room for free but need to purchase pizzas, most have arcade areas that are always a hit with kids.
Keep in mind only 6 people per table, per phase regulations.

•*Cozy Campers Sleepover – not necessarily a location but adorable sleepover rental equipment. They deliver, set up and collect the next day. Packages start at $325

•*Key Peninsula Civic Center– Rent one of their spaces for a party, or host a skate party on one of their Friday Skate Nights. They also have a gym you can rent.

•*AGA Gymnastics – AGA Northwest provides the perfect party to bounce on the trampoline, jump and swing, balance on beams, and make their way through obstacle courses. This is a perfect place for the experienced gymnast and those new to gymnastics. AGA hosts super fun parties for children ages 4 and older. Unfortunately, children under 4 years old can not attend. •*Discovery Village– Enjoy an hour and a half of unforgettable fun with friends while having exclusive use of the entire Discovery Village play area! Upon arrival you can expect our staff to help carry in items, set up party supplies and any other tasks necessary. You may arrive 15 minutes early to set up, and don’t worry about the clean-up, we are here to help! We offer tablecloths and plates of the color of your choosing, and you may bring in any food you wish, as long as it is nut free. 24 guests, 90 minutes for $300, additional 30 minutes for $60.

 

 

ALL AREAS:

•*YMCA’s – go to the page for more info, depending on the location – they have pool, gym, gymnastic parties! For members and non members $150-200

•*MAGIC in the PNW Character Parties & Events – not a “location” but entertainment for your party, what child wouldn’t love their favorite princess or superhero to show up at their party? Reasonably priced and they serve to the whole area not just University Place. From Elsa, Anna, Moana, Belle, Spider Man, Wonder Woman, Jedi and more!

•*Fancy Fairytale Parties – not a “location” but entertainment for your party, what child wouldn’t love their favorite princess or superhero to show up at their party? Pricing starts at $150

•James’ Game Truck – GameTruck delivered to your location, offers a wide variety of packages and event addons for birthdays and other events. We want to make your party easy, stress-free, and most importantly, an amazing experience for you and your guests. From Gig Harbor and Tacoma to Puyallup and Port Orchard, James’s GameTruck team will bring a fun and unforgettable party to you!

•*McDonalds – contact your local McDonalds for prices

•*Parks – Rent a parks picnic shelter and let the kids play on the playground for free!

•Bowling Alley – there are more than the ones I named!

•Movie Theaters

•*Community Centers– I may have missed your local community center in the above list.

•*Church – Ask your local church if they have a room or hall you can rent.

•*Craft Stores
