Eco-Friendly Fashion with City Threads

If you’re new around here; I try to live a clean, healthy, eco-friendly lifestyle. One major problem we face is how fashion impacts the planet.
What is fast fashion? Fast fashion is pretty much mass-production of affordable disposable clothing. The fashion industry produces 10% of all humanity’s carbon emissions, is the second largest consumer of the world’s water supply and pollutes the ocean with microplastics.
Did you know 84% of clothing ends up in the landfill. That’s insane.

For years now I try to purchase sustainable fashion. Try being the word. No, I’m not perfect and do buy into some fast fashion at times. But I’d say about 80% of our clothing is either given to us second-hand, bought at the thrift store or bought from a company who recycles clothing.
City Threads is a made in the USA clothing brand that carries all your child’s needs. Comfortable basics for girls and boys sizes newborn- 16 years old. And now offering a few adult sizes as well!
All their fabrics are carefully sourced and free of harsh chemicals or dyes. They’ve got 100% cotton fabric options and organic options as well.
They’ve even got a great recycled swimwear line.
Comfortable, cute and durable. They hold their shape even after a lot of washes. No shrinking or fading.
The clothing is great for children with sensory needs.

They really are extremely comfortable, and no problems with shrinking. True to size. They have so many items; from underwear to hats. Piper finds the underwear very comfortable, even prefers them over character undies and the girl normally loves characters. I think one of her favorite items though, are these unicorn pants. She tries to wear them everyday. Be sure to check out their great selection of pajamas for everyone, newborns to adults sizes. I’ve got a pair and they are so comfortable.
