Easy Homemade Chilli

Easy Homemade Chili recipe is delicious & full of flavor. It's an easy one pot meal. It's loaded with meat, beans, and vegetables. Add cornbread, corn chips and other additional toppings to complete it.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 15 oz can of kidney beans red or light, drained
  • 1 14.5 can diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

toppings: optional

  • corn chips or cornbread
  • jalapenos diced
  • sour cream
  • cheddar cheese shredded
  • green onions chopped

Instructions

  • Place the ground beef, onion and bell pepper in a large dutch oven. A large saucepan will work as well. Over medium heat, cook and stir until the meat is browned, onion and bell pepper is tender.
  • Season with garlic powder, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and beef broth.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low and then cover and let simmer 20 minutes.
  • Serve warm, with optional toppings.
