Apple Pie
A deliciously filled apple pie with a double buttery crust. It's the perfect pie to eat year round, but especially during autumn/fall when apples are in season. This Apple Pie recipe is a favorite! Can also be made gluten free and/or vegan.

Apple Pie Filling
- 6 cups apples pared and sliced
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 Tbsp corn starch
- 1 tsp apple pie spice
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp butter
Crust
- 2 pie crust store bought or homemade
- 2 tsp white sugar for sprinkling on top crust
Make or prepare pie crust accordingly. Pare and slice apples, place into a medium size bowl.
Preheat oven to 400°. Line pie pan with bottom pie crust.
In a small bowl mix sugar, corn starch and apple pie spice. Sprinkle it over apples and mix. Drizzle lemon juice over apples.
Add apple mixture into pie pan and dot with your butter.
Cover evenly with second pie crust. Make a couple slits on the top and seal the edges.
Cover the pie edges with aluminum foil, place pie pan on cookie sheet. And sprinkle the top with two teaspoons of sugar.
Bake on center rack for 45 minutes, remove foil and place back into the oven for another 10-15 minutes.
Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes, enjoy!
