Fried Turkish Style Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast each into 4 inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne


  • In a small bowl combine all ingredients except for chicken and stir to combine.
  • Cut up chicken into 4 inch pieces and place into a container or a ziplock bag. Pour in the small bowl of mix that you just prepared.
  • Coat the chicken evenly and place in the fridge. Marinate in the fridge for 1-8 hours.
  • After marinading, pull out of fridge. In a large frying pan over medium heat, spray your pan with cooking spray so no chance the chicken will stick.
  • When the pan is warm, place your chicken and fry until thoroughly cooked about 20-30 minutes, turning every couple minutes.
  • Serve warm with your favorite side dishes.
