Switch things up on Taco Tuesday with this tasty and easy Taco Pasta recipe!

Taco Pasta


  • 16 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup green bell peppers chopped
  • 1 cup onions chopped
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes chopped
  • 1 juice of one lime
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • jalapeno garnish, optional
  • cilantro garnish, optional


  • Cook noodles according to package and then strain when done.
  • While noodles are cooking. Chop vegetables, and in a small bowl mix chili powder, cumin, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, oregano, cayenne pepper and black pepper together. 
  • In a large frying pan over medium high heat brown ground beef for about 7-10 minutes. 
  • Add vegetable oil, onions, tomatoes, green peppers to the pan with meat and cook for another 3-5 or until tender. Add tomato sauce, lime juice and seasoning, stir and cook for 3-4 more minutes and remove from heat.  
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix meat mixture in with the noodles and place into a large casserole dish. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and bake for 15 minutes. Garnish with cilantro and/or jalapeno.
