There are so many things I'm thankful for and one of those is the amount of nature areas Washington state has to offer. I'm so thankful we were able to get out and walk Nisqually Wildlife Perserve before the "Stay Home, stay healthy" order the Gov. placed. It was wonderful to get out one last time, this staying home is tough and I don't know how we're going to manage?!! #pnw #nature #optoutside #stayhome #momlife #sendwine

There are so many things...

🌴On Saturday we took advantage of the sunshine and finally got out of the house! This will be a rough and trying time for our mental health, not going to lie. But we got to play at the local beach while practicing #socialdistancing it was wonderful! 🌻And we found a beautiful painted rock, thank you to who ever hid it!

What are you going to do with your child if homeschooling isn't cut out for them or your family? Take a deep breath, exhale and relax. It'll be okay! Everyone's health and wellness is much more important at this time than academics. I've got a list of activities if you'd like some structure in your lives though. Check it out on my blog.

Glad we were able to squeeze in one more trip out into the community and zoo before things start shutting down. Friday Piper and I made an impromptu visit to Pt defiance zoo! It was great minus the cold/rain; there was only a couple other people, animals were active, didnt need to touch anything. Now schools are out for 6 weeks and we plan on quarantining ourselves at home for most of that time, except to get out into nature.

On February 3 I started My Peak Challenge and happy to say I'm still going strong! I've been needing to make some lifestyle changes and get more active. I've been working to control what I eat, getting some kind of exercise in daily which I'm really enjoying. I didn't think I'd ever say that! 💚 #MPC2020 has truly started changing my life, I've had more positive thoughts and my body feels good. @mypeakchallenge

Just an IDEA!! With the coronavirus and people stocking their homes with TP, disinfecting wipes, tissues, hand santizer.... Think about buying an extra wipe container, hand santizer and/or tissue box and donate it to your child's teacher. I'm 100% positive they wouldnt turn it down! Keep in mind I'm sure the school is supplying them with some stuff but a lot of times teachers spend money out of their own pockets for classroom stuff. Remember your child is spending a good portion of their time at school right now, not just at home.

As a stay-at-home Mom, comfort is key when choosing my clothing. House work, feeding and playing with the baby, school pickup; are just part of my everyday. I need to be comfortable in my outfit but also look put together, because sure pajamas are perfect for cleaning the house but not school pickup or the grocery store.

prAna Clothing

That’s why I turn to prAna, the clothing line that is versatile and stylish. Whether I’m hiking on a Saturday or it’s a Monday and I have a list of misc to-dos. Comfort is key! Another wonderful thing about prAna is, it offers sustainable, recylced, fair trade certified and hemp items. Not only that they partner with local and international charities to help make a difference.

I have on the Deedra Sweater Tunic and I’m very pleased! It’s stylish, yet comfortable. I have a long torso so I’m always on the look out for shirts/sweaters that won’t show my back when I bend over and this is perfect. It’s true to the size, which sometimes can be a struggle for ordering clothes online. Spit up just rolled off it, which is perfect for new Moms. It’s great for the fall or winter, paired with some jeans or leggings. If you find it a bit itchy when you first try it on, that feeling goes away after you’ve washed it and have worn it.

The pants are the Kara Jean and they were a comfortable material and stylish. They are perfect for everyday, any activity. The leg can be worn long or cuffed, low rise. Perfect to wear anytime of the year. FYI, these do run small so you definitely want to size up.

Did you know? Conventionally grown cotton consumes approximately 25% of the insecticides and more than 10% of the pesticides used in the world. Organic production systems on the other hand, replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture.

prAna is available to purchase online at prAna.com and in some retail locations, go to the site to search in your area.
