JOIN THE MOVEMENT TO REFUSE SINGLE-USE PLASTICS.
Plastic Free EcoChallenge is a month-long effort for all of us to shift away from our single-use plastic dependency. Together, let’s realize our collective dream of a plastic-free world.

Inspired by the Australian-founded initiative, our Plastic Free EcoChallenge is a 31-day, global challenge to reduce and refuse single-use plastics. We invite you to create intention and take action on creating plastic-free habits with us!

Throughout the EcoChallenge, share your progress, success, and reflections with fellow EcoChallengers, all while earning points for completed actions. The combination of collective inspiration, camaraderie, and friendly competition makes change a little easier – and a lot more fun. After all, progress is social!

I’ll be participating in the Plastic Free EcoChallenge this July, will you join me? This challenge is new to me, so we can be first timers together!

It’s a friendly competition that honestly everyone wins. You earn points for the actions you already complete or maybe going plastic free is completely new to you. Don’t be afraid you don’t have to go plastic free over night, you get to choose which actions you want to take on for the month, it can be as simple as watching a documentary with family and friends and discussing it or maybe only using reusable bags and skipping the plastic grocery bags. They give you resources so you can learn more and it’s a very informative website.

The goal is to reduce the amount of plastic you use and hopefully instill some good habits. Join a team and earn points as a team or do it by yourself either is great! If you’re near me, I’d love for you to join the South Sound Zero Waste Team!! Let’s get this competition started ;)

The challenge begins July 1 and runs through July 31, but you can sign up now, join a team, start earning points and choose your actions. I’d love for you to join!
