We went to opening night of Disney’s The Jungle Book. It was a group of us, including a 5 year old and 8 year old(Mason). First off it’s the beloved Disney story of Mowgli, the mancub who was raised by wolves in the jungle and the big bad villian of the jungle, Shere Khan who wants to kill Mowgli. They did such a great job on all the graphics and animals, I loved all the voice actors they cast and the actor who played Mowgli(Neel Sethi) was perfect!
As an adult I loved the film, it was a great length, very entertaining, it had parts that were funny, made you jump and even tear up. As for the kids, Mason loved it and sat through the whole thing. The 5 year old was not digging the length of it and only sat through a little more than half of it. There are a couple scary parts also. So, if you are bringing younger children please keep in mind of the “scary” parts so bring a comfort item so they can hide their faces if need be. Keep in mind it is not a cartoon, it’s 1 hour and 45 minutes long. Just a big heads up if you plan on bringing little’s to the movie, don’t want your experience to be ruined. Feel free to go for a date night or bring older children and leave the little’s at home.
It was a great movie, we really loved it and it’ll be one we purchase on DVD/Blu-ray!! Have you seen it yet? What’d you think of it?
THE JUNGLE BOOK is now playing in theatres everywhere in 3D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D!
