My family and I are foodies; we love eating food, trying new foods and creating our own food. I’ll admit we eat out more then we should though, it’s just convenient and no hassle. My wallet doesn’t thank me though. We’re on week two(of four) of no eating out, so I’m trying to have our home stocked with convenient foods so we aren’t tempted. And sure in a perfect world I’d only serve made from scratch foods, but and a big but we don’t live in a perfect world.
My kids are also huge pasta fans! Piper asks for noodles for breakfast almost every morning..
The Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto has been a wonderful staple for our pantry lately. It has easily jazzed up our pasta dishes, made our pizza delicious and made a chicken sandwich taste amazing!
Did you know? Pesto is “a meal for today” as it is normally bought and used on the same day: 66% of shoppers consume pesto after three hours of purchase.
Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto
Since 1877 in Parma, Italy four generations of the Barilla family have been passing down the secrets to their great-quality pesto. The Barilla Group and their products symbolize the Italian lifestyle and Mediterranean diet.
Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto is a versatile product that can be used in a variety of ways and doesn’t need to be heated. Mix it into your pasta and/or grain dish. Spread onto your sandwich, toast and/or chicken. Use it as a dip for veggies and pita chips. You can also marinate meats and vegetables with it.
It’s a convenient pantry staple that satisfies cravings for Italian food. Just be sure to refrigerate after opening and best if used within five days of opening.
It’s made with fragrant Italian basil and freshly grated Italian cheese. Barilla really wants to give you the best of pesto and so they rapidly prepare the recipe in as little as three hours from the start of ingredient preparation to the tightening of the lid.

It’d also make the perfect ingredient to pack for a picnic, camping and/or road tripping. It’s so versatile!
