The Quietest Classroom Pencil Sharpener (& giveaway)

unnamed DSC_0488[1]

Classroom Friendly Supplies, owned and operated by a teacher. I love finding products that were designed by teachers with kids in mind. As parents who are hardly ever in the classroom and don’t know what the struggles are with supplies. And honestly hadn’t thought if the non electric sharpeners were difficult for children to use or that they are a disturbance, it’s been so long since I was in school. When this first arrived at our door, I thought it was just a normal pencil sharpener like the rest but I was wrong.

It’s quiet, you can hardly hear it. Something all classrooms need, because kids can be easily distracted.

Mason really liked how it gripped the pencil and it was very easy for him to use. I’ve never seen a pencil sharpener like it, I’ve included some photos below to show you how it grips it. (just don’t mind all the finger prints lol) It works very well and it’s very easy for anyone to use including children.

It is very easy to remove the lead if it gets stuck and you can find a video here but it is pretty much twisting off the black part on the handle.

It comes in 5 different colors. Very reasonable price. They have replacement pieces you can buy as well, if needed.

  1. I would love to win one of these sharpeners for my wife who teacher 3rd grade in a public school. She has gone through so many electric sharpeners which last a couple of weeks before they break. She has been so frustrated with trying to find a decent sharpener, and this one looks promising.

  2. I would love one of these for my 3rd graders. Our school colors are red and black so I would pick one of those. Probably red so the kids spot it easily. 🙂
