I love peanut butter cookies, but who doesn’t? (Unless than you’re allergic, then I’m sorry) These are very simple and just your typical peanut butter cookies with a little extra. And perfect for a Valentine’s Day treat!! Your children will gobble these up and are very simple for them to help make.
Peanut Butter Cookies with Chocolate Hearts!
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
Chocolate shaped HEARTS – your choice of brand!
- Beat butter and peanut butter until blended, add the sugarS, baking soda and baking powder. Beat until combined. Beat in egg and vanilla. Beat in flour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork making criss-cross marks. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until edges are light brown. While cookies are baking start unwrapping the chocolates. Immediately after pulling them out of the oven place an unwrapped chocolate heart in the center. Place on a wire rack to cool. ENJOY!!
