Forks, WA (Part 1)

Warning lots of pics!

We went to Forks for our August Girls Day. (Girls Day: each month the ladies in my family plan a day to go out and have some fun without kids or men) This month only my mom, sister, cousin and I were able to attend girls day. It was such a fun day!

We stopped at Longhouse right outside of Sequim for lunch, they have very good sandwiches
On our drive I stopped at Crescent Lake for a picture, on a clear day the water is a teal color, it is so beautiful
Getting a picture with the Forks sign
Right across the street from the sign there is a little road that leads to a boat launch and this is what we found. It was very pretty and relaxing down there
We found a bone down by the water, scary! πŸ™‚

Inside of “Bella’s” truck, I love old cars
Yes, Shannon and I posing again
I think we were having too much fun! πŸ˜‰
Are you excited to hear about the rest of our day? As soon as I get another chance I will post more about our day in Forks!

Can I have another week of vacation, please

So yesterday was the last day of my vacation πŸ™ I can’t believe how quickly it went by, but we did so much and it was nice not sitting at home all day. I can be such a home body.

Mason and I baked some homemade blueberry muffins from the blueberries we picked. They were so delicious, I will have to post the recipe. Later that evening I had a Girls Night with some new friends, we went out to dinner, had some drinks, then went and saw the movie Eclipse. Getting ready for Girls Night I realized I REALLY need some new clothes!

We went to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle with my sister, we all had a great time. But next time I am planning it for a fall or winter day because it was just too hot and crowded. I am so happy I do not live in Seattle, I hate, yes HATE the traffic there and the way people drive.
Before leaving Seattle we stopped at Trophy Cupcakes, I just had to let my sister try them(okay I had to have at least one).

On Saturday we got together with some family at Titlow Beach. Wasn’t the best weather, it rained on us the whole time we were there but we all had such a great time. Played on the beach, had lunch on the dock, walked the trail and stood on the bridge while a train went by which was a very cool experience.

Apple picking with friends

Yesterday morning we went over to a friends and picked apples. It was nice to visit and get some sunshine. We also got to take home some yummy Trophy cupcakes (thank you Heather)!
Thanks Carolyn for having us over πŸ™‚

Our Garden

is growing! Back in May my Dad and I planted TONS of veggies and herbs. And they are getting pretty big, I am pretty excited to have fresh produce we grew ourselves. So far the only ones that we have been able pick are strawberries and snap peas. The strawberries are delicious, I haven’t tried the peas yet.

Day Trip to Sequim

Wow! Two postings in one day.
Tuesday we drove up to the Olympic Peninsula with my parents and sister for a family day. We had lunch, ate ice cream at a little shop, went to the Olympic Game Farm(Mason’s first time ever), went to the beach at Dungeness Spit. It was a short day trip but it was a lot of fun. My favorite part was the bears at the game farm, they were so cute waving to us. We even saw a baby bear and baby wolf playing together. Here are just a few pictures of our day.
