We finally saw Ghostbusters! I’ve read/heard many different opinions, a lot of people didn’t like it and some loved it. Mason was among the ones who loved it and is already begging us to purchase it! I liked it, but not loved. I’d almost say it was a lot like the Scooby Doo movies but a PG-13 rating and that could explain the reviews. It’d be the perfect family-friendly movie if it wasn’t for the language, and the opening scene is a bit scary for children, Mason claimed it was the volume of the sounds. If you have sensitive ones maybe arrive a little late and/or bring ear plugs. There was a lot of comedy, we loved all the characters but Holtzman was our favorite! Mason would definitely give it a 5∗, I’d probably give it a 3∗
Paranormal researcher Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) and physicist Erin Gilbert are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help. Also joining the team is Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out. Armed with proton packs and plenty of attitude, the four women prepare for an epic battle as more than 1,000 mischievous ghouls descend on Times Square.
Have you seen it? Leave me a comment with what you thought of it? Ghostbusters will be available on DVD October 11, 2016. Like I said we enjoyed it as a family-friendly movie, and maybe you will as well if you can get over a few bad words.
